What is included

What Cat Grooming at Home Includes

A session is planned around your cat's coat and comfort. If your cat gets too stressed, we stop.

Bath, if your cat needs it

Many cats keep themselves clean. A bath helps with oily or dirty coats, and we only bathe a cat who can cope with it.

Brushing and de-shedding

Removes loose hair and helps reduce hairballs and shedding at home.

Nail trim

Short nails mean fewer snags and less damage to sofas and curtains.

Ear cleaning

A gentle clean of the outer ear, plus a check for dirt, smell or redness.

Why at home

Why Cats Do Better With Home Grooming

Cats feel safest in their own territory. A home visit removes most of what frightens them.

No carrier, no car

The trip is often the most stressful part of the day for a cat. At home, there is no trip.

No barking dogs

Salons can be noisy and full of unfamiliar smells. Your home is not.

You can stay close

Your voice and smell can help a nervous cat, and you can see exactly how your cat is handled.

Breaks when needed

Your groomer can pause when your cat needs a break, instead of rushing to the next appointment.

Your own space

A bathroom or balcony works well. Your groomer will ask you for a quiet space with a door that closes.

Common problems

Cat Grooming Problems We Often Hear About

Most of these get easier with regular care. Some need a vet first, so tell us what you are seeing.

Matted fur

Common behind the ears, under the legs and on the belly of long-haired cats. Mats pull on the skin, so they should not be left to grow.

Heavy shedding

Regular brushing removes loose hair before it lands on your sofa or your cat swallows it.

Hairballs

Brushing can reduce the hair your cat swallows. Speak to your vet if your cat keeps retching or vomiting.

Long or snagging nails

Nails that catch in fabric can be uncomfortable. Senior cats may need more frequent trims.

Dirty ears or eyes

Flat-faced cats can need gentle face cleaning. Smell, redness or discharge is a reason to see a vet.

Scratching furniture

Trimming helps, but scratching is a natural behaviour. Read how to stop a cat scratching furniture.

How often

How Often Should a Cat Be Groomed?

It depends mostly on coat length. Use this as a starting point, and ask your groomer or vet about your own cat.

How to Prepare Your Cat for Grooming

A little preparation makes the visit easier for everyone.

01

Choose a quiet room

Pick a space with a closing door, and shut windows and balcony doors.

02

Plan around play and food

A calm, fed cat is usually easier to handle. Avoid booking right after a stressful event.

03

Tell us the history

Mention scratching, biting, health problems and past bad experiences before the visit.

04

Reward afterwards

Offer a favourite treat and quiet time so the memory stays as good as possible.

See a vet, not a groomer, for sores, heavy matting close to the skin, sudden hair loss or a cat who has stopped grooming itself. It can be a sign of illness. A nervous cat may also benefit from cat training at home for calm handling.

How to Brush a Cat at Home

Short, regular sessions work better than one long fight. Start when your cat is relaxed, and stop before your cat gets annoyed.

Brush in the direction of the coat, starting on the back and cheeks, where most cats enjoy it. Work up to the belly and legs slowly. Give a small treat after each short session, so brushing becomes a good thing.

  • Short-haired catsA soft brush or rubber grooming mitt
  • Long-haired catsA wide-tooth comb, then a soft brush
  • Never pull a matHold the fur at the base, or ask for help
  • Never cut with scissorsCat skin is thin and easy to cut
Common questions

Cat Grooming: FAQs

What cat parents ask before booking.

How much does cat grooming cost?

A single cat grooming session at home is ₹899. Two sessions a month cost ₹1,798, and six-month plans start at ₹5,394, plus GST.

Do you offer cat grooming near me?

We offer home grooming across Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurgaon, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. Tell us your area when you book, and we will confirm availability.

Do cats really need grooming?

Most cats groom themselves, but long-haired, senior and overweight cats often need help. Regular brushing and nail care are useful for almost every cat.

Do you sedate cats for grooming?

No. Home grooming does not include sedation. If a cat is too stressed, or needs sedation for heavy matting, a vet is the right place for it.

Can you remove mats from my Persian cat?

Light mats can often be brushed or trimmed out carefully. Severe mats close to the skin can be painful and may need a vet. Tell us about them when you book.

How long does a cat grooming session take?

It depends on the coat and how your cat copes. Your groomer will take breaks when needed rather than rushing your cat.

What if my cat is aggressive or scared?

Tell us before the visit. Your groomer will go slowly and may do only part of the session. Calm handling practice with cat training can make future visits easier.

Do you also groom dogs?

Yes. See our dog grooming at home page for details. Prices are the same.
